Research of Space Solar Power Station/Satellite (SPS)

We study various researches for the SPS as follows ;

E  System design of the SPS (in Japanese/international SPS research committees)

E  Development of Phase Controlled Magnetrons for high efficient phased array

We have developed phase controlled magnetron with cooker-type magnetron which is high efficient, low cost and high power and have developedphased array with the PCM(SPORTS2.45, SPORTS5.8). Additionally, we have developed phase and Amplitude Controlled Magnetron (PACM) and the PCM for phase modulation.

E  Development of high efficient phase array with semi-conductors

We develop high efficient phased array for the SPS with company. It contains GaN FET and MMIC phase shifter for 5.8GHz.

E  Research of high accurate target detecting system with retrodirective

We have developed retrodirective target detecting transmitter with asymmetric 2 pilot signals, and have developed retrodirective target detecting transmitter without local oscillator. We have also carried out some experiments of software retrodirective with new algorism of target detecting.

E  Development of rectenna (Rectifying Antenna)

We construct the theory of rectenna array connection to increase efficiency of rectenna array. We also developed high efficient rectenna in weak power or in high power microwave. Recently, we have developed GaN diode for high power rectenna with Tokushima University.
